BIO: Jerry is one of the partners of J and D and is the author of these articles. Gerard Alexander Pisani, Jr. was raised in Butler, NJ and attended the Butler Public Schools.
He went to Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL and matriculated to Taylor University in Upland, IN. Traveling with the Word of Life Fellowship as pianist and organist he completed his education at Nyack College in Nyack, NY. Gerard was ordained in the Conservative Baptist Church on July 28, 1963. He began a mission church in Milton, NJ known as the Milton Bible Church/Community Church of Jefferson Township. Introduced to the Episcopal Church while attending Wheaton College, Jerry decided to seek ordination in the Diocese of Newark. While attending General Theological Seminary in NYC, he continued as a minister in Milton as the Community Church was becoming a mission called St. Gabriel's in the Diocese. Ordained Deacon in June of 1966 and then Priest on October 15, 1966 and was appointed the first Vicar of St. Gabriel's. Father Pisani later became the Rector of Christ Church in Pompton Lakes, NJ before becoming the Rector of Trinity Parish in Bergen Point in November of 1974. On August 1, 2009 he retired from the active ministry in the Episcopal Church and now resides in Cary, NC.
